Abstract
Chen Shi Dao's poetry is realistic. It objectively represents the reality of social life in the later Northern Song Dynasty by describing his personal life experience and his thinking and feeling. Carrying forward the traditions and bringing forth new ideas in his arts, he formed an artistic style of plain, nature, gloomy and dignity, thus making a remarkable contribution to the poetry development of Song Dynasty.
