Abstract
Cyclohexyl acetate has been synthesized from acetic acid and cyclohexanol, catalyzed by SO2-4/TiO2/Y3+ rareearth solid superacid.Various factors affecting the reaction have been studied. Results show that the rareearth solid superacid SO2-4/TiO2/Y3+ is an excellent catalyst for the synthesis of cyclohexyl acetate.Optimum conditions for the reaction are:the mass ratio of the catalyst to the reactants-2.3%,the molar ratio of alcohol to acid-1∶2,the reaction time60 min,and the mass ratio of the waterborne reagent to the reactants-12%.Under such conditions, the yield of cyclohexyl acetate amounts to 85%.
