On Values of Chinese Legal Family—from Perspective of Exchanges between Chinese and Japanese Legal Culture

Japan accepted and transplanted the Chinese legal culture not only because the latter consisted of detailed stipulations,general principles and jurisprudence of law,but also because of the various values and reasonable elements underlying that culture.What's more,Japan borrowed from the Chinese legal culture Confucianism as the foundation of its culture,ethics which put much emphasis on family relationship as the basis of its social structure,and legislative guidelines that underscored the supremacy and divinity of the emperor's power as the cornerstone of its politics.Japan's legislation practice and efforts to build a feudal legal system are in line with its national and social need,and in turn consolidated the foundation of the Chinese legal family and reinforced its characteristics.
