The research on comprehensive evaluation of sustainable development of urban human settlements in Lanzhou

With the acceleration of the industrialization and urbanization,quite a few urban problems have emerged in Lanzhou city due to its dry-area location as well as the limitation of its special topography of river valley and basin and its social economic conditions,leading the quality of its urban human settlements to deterioration and preventing its human settlements from sustainable development.This article puts forward the index system and methods to evaluate the sustainable development of human settlements in Lanzhou city and gives comprehensive analysis and evaluation of its human settlements with respects to its overall development level,the sustainability of its development and the coordinated operation of all sub-systems.In addition,the article also put forward some concerned advice and suggestions providing theoretical basis for further development of Lanzhou human settlements.
