Abstract

LI Yu established his position in literary history by creations in traditional operas and fiction,and the theory of dramas. His fame for poems was shielded by his other achievements. In fact,LI Yu's poems are easy,smooth,elegant and amorous,have lots of fun and characteristics,whose poetic style shows the trend of being admired in the middle and late Tang dynasty. The special social and cultural environment,LI Yu's thoughts and theory of literary creation are main reasons of this trend.
