Abstract
By using the inverse calculating method of B-spline interpolating curve, the shroud camber line and the hub camber line of a 3-D integral impeller are formed, based on two groups of data points. The ruled surfaces of a blade camber surface and a blade surface are then constructed. A kind of side machining cutter location of this impeller is given by means of ball-end cylindrical cutter in 5-axis NC machine tools. The concrete methods of surface modeling and NC machining simulation are provided based on UG software.
