Empirical Analysis on Process of Urbanization in Xinjiang

This paper made a comprehensive evaluation of urbanization in Xinjiang since 1978.By making a comparative analysis of the evaluation results and the level of the population urbanization and combining with the development process of urbanization in Xinjiang,it made an empirical analysis and conclusion with some points.In general,urbanization in Xinjiang was lagging behind,but in different regional level,both lagging urbanization and advancing urbanization coexisted.Making an accurate judgment of urbanization characters would be conducive to scientific decision-making in urban planning.
