Abstract

Urbanization is the trend for social development.To speed the urbanization of the cities in China is without doubt the key development strategy.The paper discusses the urbanization development process of Xinjiang since the opening-up by pointing out the basic characteristics and rules with a view to correctly understanding the characteristics of the economy in the whole western region and providing references for formulating rules governing urbanization development.
