Abstract
The catalytic synthesis of isoamyl acetate by reaction of acetic acid with isoamyl alcohol using S_2O_8~(2-)/TiO_2 as catalyst was studied. The activity and stability of the catalyst were studied. The results show that the catalytic selectivity amounts to 95%,while 1.00mol/L(NH_4)_2S_2O_8 is added and calcinated at 450~500℃.The factors influencing the synthesis were discussed. The optimum conditions are that molar ratio of isoamyl alcohol to acetic acid is 1.2∶1,the quantity of catalyst is equal to 1.0% feed stock, the reaction temperature is 110~120℃,and the reaction time is 1.5 h.S_2O_8~(2-)/TiO_2 is an excellent catalyst for synthetizing isoamyl acetate.
