Abstract
Objective To prepare Sotalol Hydrochloride Sustained-release Matrix Pellets and develop a new dosage form of sotalol hydrochloride. Methods Extrusion-spheronization method was adopted to prepare Sotalol Hydrochloride Sustained-release Matrix Pellets. The effects of the amount of wetting agent, extrusion speed and spheronization speed on drug release were investigated. Results With 120 mL 3% PVP K30 aqueous solution as wetting agent, extrusion speed 35 r·min-1,spheronization speed 500 r·min-1(1 min),Sotalol Hydrochloride Sustained-release Matrix Pellets was prepared and the preparation was stable. Conclusion The method was reliable and the quality was controllable.
