Design Principle of WebGIS Based on ArcIMS

Abstract

The features,structural model,and construction technology of WebGIS were introduced.To develop WebGIS system,and then the concept,architecture,basic operation of ArcIMS were introduced.Focused on the standard map service interface,and combined with ArcXML,JavaScript,HTML Language and Java applet,a customization for the WebGIS site’s map configuration,interface in Chinese and tools of browser was discussed.
