Abstract
This paper focuses on the research of catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric determination of trace palladium(Ⅱ).A new kinetic spectrophotometric method for the determination of palladium(Ⅱ) is established on the fact that palladium(Ⅱ) can catalyze the oxidation reaction of methyl red by potassiumperiodate in the medium of phosphoric acid. This catalytic reaction is first order reaction and the linear range of the determination is 0.000-0.600 μg/mL.The detection limit is 2.48×10-9 g/mL.The apparent activation energy of the reaction is 84.12 kJ/mol,and the apparent rate constant is 1.25×10-4 s-1.This method can be applied to the determination of trace palladium(Ⅱ) in ores, and the result is satisfying.
