Abstract

OBJECTIVE To study on the chemical constituents from the roots of actinidia arguta. METHODS Using silica gel and RP-C18column chromatographies repeatedly, the compounds from the roots of actinidia arguta were isolated and purified, and their structures were identified by physicochemical and spectroscopic analysis.RESULTS Four compounds were isolated and identified as betulinic acid(1),tyrosol(2),catechin(3)and epicatechin(4).CONCLUSIONCompound 2is isolated from the roots of actinidia argutafor the first time.
