Abstract
Objective To investigate cervical diseases with liquid-based thinPrep cytologic test(TCT).Methods Samples were collected from uterine cervix in 1 621 patients and slides were made with TCT system and the pathological diagnosis was made according to the criteria of Bethesda system(TBS).Results Good smears were obtained from all the 1 621 samples.Abnormal smears included atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance(29),high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(6),low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion(4),candidiasis(14),and bacteria proliferation(5).Conclusion TCT may help to enhance the diagnostic rate and prevent the aggravation of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
