Abstract

Objective: To investigate the expression of PTTG and bFGF in pituitary adenomas and their clinical significance. Methods: 43 pituitary adenomas were divided into the invasive group and the no-invasive group.Expressions of PTTG and bFGF protein were examined by immunocytochemical method;PTTG-mRNA was detected by RT-PCR method. Results: PTTG protein was significantly different between invasive and no-invasive group;the expression of PTTG-mRNA PTTG-mRNA level increased in invasive group;there was obviously positive correlation between PTTG and bFGF.Conclusions: PTTG and bFGF are correlated with invasiveness of pituitary adenomas and served as the molecule marker of invasive growth.
