The Discussion on Feng Youlan's Explanation and Application of Western philosophical methods

Along with the modernization of Chinese culture, philosophy is also undergoing painful and meaningful transformation triggered by the introduction of modern academic results from the West, that is, the methods of science and logic. Philosophers then committed themselves to redefining and reconstructing Chinese philosophy by employing the above-mentioned methods. Among them, Feng Youlan succeeded in modernizing Chinese classic philosophy. Feng owes much to his philosophical method, i.e., the method of logical analysis, which is an integration of Chinese cultural qualities and Western metaphysical factors.
