The School Tradition of Donglin and the Prominent Families in the Southern Jiangsu of Ming and Qing Dynasties

This paper mainly discussed that the school tradition of Donglin had close relationship with the prominent families in southern Jiangsu,got benefits from those families in Ming and Qing Dynasties,and inflected the education and culture of those families.It is proposed in this paper that the Donglin school tradition's soul is to make the academic useful,to improve the society and to make the country strong and rich.While the resistance to government given up,the soul was still maintained.This was obviously one of the most important characteristics of the modern society charge in the southern Jiangsu.All these can obtain explanations from all sorts of relations between Donglin representative people and prominent families in that region.
