Abstract

Objective To explore the VEGF possible mechanisms by which they effect lung cancer. Methods The expression VEGF in paraffin embedded.Lung cancer tissues was detected by using antibodies against VEGF and CD34 with S-P immunohistochemistry. Results The positive rate of VEGF in lung cancer was 80% and was significantly higher(P0.05) than that of VEGF in benign tissues. There was a significant relationship between the expression of VEGF,differentiation stage and lymphnode metastasis(P0.05).MVD of lung cancers with positive expression of VEGF(59.76±11.66)was significantly higher(P0.05) than that negative expression of VEGF(38.49±5.38).Conclusion Overexpression of VEGF maybe closely related to lung cancinogenesis and development of the lung cancer.VEGF could play a important role in the control of vascularization.
