Judgement on Quality of Heavy Rail Steel Produced by No.5 Continuous Caster

Abstract

This paper describes the molten steel condition of heavy rail steel for No.5 continuous caster,the process parameters such as casting rate,superheat temperature,and so on.The macrostructure of bloom,segregation of carbon,mechanical property of heavy rail,nonmetallic inclusion is verified.The article judges whether present state of No.5 continuous caster can produce high quality heavy rail steel.
