Abstract

By studying the buried-hill source rocks, transportation system, reservoirs and caprocks in Tonghaikou area of Qianjiang Depression, it was considered that influenced by Tonghaikou fault, a combination of buried hill on the hanging wall and hill-fault-depression on the footwall of Qianjiang Depression was formed, multiple hydrocarbon resources can be supplied to the buried-hill, the reservoir space with caves, dissolved pore and cracks was induced by Himalayan and Yanshanian tectonic movements, a network system was composed of, which was connected to faults, unconformity and a sandstone transportation zone within the hydrocarbon belt. It is predicated that a reservoir forming pattern of Neo-Palaeo reservoir and Mesozoic-Palaeo reservoir can be formed in Tonghaikou buried-hill belt. Previous exploration found that there were many oil and gas shows and wide distribution. It is indicated that it has good prospects for exploration in the buried-hill belt.
