Abstract
This paper studies the forming conditions of buried hill reservoirs in Liaohe western sag. In accordance with the poor quality of seismic data of the unevenly distributed overburden basalt (0~1 100 m), the difficulty of buried hill trap recognizing, the complex lithology of fractured reservoir, and the uncertainty of fracture development, we have enhanced the basic and regularity study. Analysis shows that, the geological conditions of this area were favorable to forming of buried hill reservoirs. Under the condition that overlying Shahejie formation had a high degree of exploration, the underlying buried hill reservoir still is a favorable exploration direction in next step.
