The Diversity and Multi-regional Features of Han Culture during Its Formation Period——A Study Based on Historical Documents of the Han Dynasty

Han culture is a national culture with a long history and full of its unique features.During the time of the Qin and Han Dynasties,Han nationality became the main ethnic group with the developments in the unification of geographical distribution,the common economic life,and the cultural unification,etc.And Han culture,which was created mainly by Han nationality,also became the main culture of this unified,multi-ethnic country.The diversity and multi-regional features of Han culture have not disappeared or weakened after the unification of the empire.The existence of regional differences could be clearly shown in the official documents in which the information of customs,economic and social life and dialects were recorded.Based on Huozhiliezhuan of Historical Records,Dilizhi of Books of Han,and Dialect,this paper tries to recover the situation of Han cultural areas during its formation period and discuss its regional features,to deepen the knowledge and understanding of Han culture and its diversity and multi-regional features.
