The Construction of Chinese Academic Discourse in Artistic Theory

Abstract

Artistic theories must base on artistic practices which involve a process of Practice-Theory-Re-practice-Theory construction.The construction of Chinese academic discourse in artistic theory should neither base on the Western artistic theories,nor on Max Dessoir's differentiation between aesthetic and the general artistic theory,still less in the aesthetic frame of Kant and Hegel.Instead,it should be on the basis of Chinese artistic practice,including the comprehension and interpretation of traditional Chinese artistic literatures.Only by this,can Chinese artistic theory solve the various issues in Chinese arts and culture.
