Some Reflections on the Construction of High-level University

The paper maintains that the college and university culture is one of the core factors that cannot be neglected in the construction of a high-level university.The foundation of college and university culture is the construction of cultural environment and cultural spirit,which will promote the development of a university.It proposes that modern Chinese universities are the outcomes of the internationalization of higher education.Yet influenced by the social background and traditional culture,Chinese universities are still in need of cultural essence of the modern university.Therefore,to promote the overall level of the universities and colleges,and ascend to the top of advanced education in the world,one should continue to enlarge the openness of education,including the openness of culture.Thus Chinese colleges and universities can form a new modern university cultural essence based on the Chinese traditional cultural spirit under the collisions of multi-culture.
