Preliminary Study on Introduction of Bambusoideae in Xiamen Botanical Garden

Abstract

The situations of introducing Bambusoideae in Xiamen botanical garden,including introduction history,bamboo species,Bambusoideae taxon and growth conditions were studied in this paper.The results showed as follows: There were 165 species(including varieties,forma and cultivates) belonging to 28 genera of Bambusoideae in Xiamen botanical garden.The floristic geographical analysis indicated that sympoidialia Bambusoideae was dominant.Most of them were introduced from Guangdong province,Hua'an in Fujian province,Xishuangbanna in Yunnan province.About 82.4% of Bambusoideae were in good growth condition.
