Abstract
A bacterium was isolated from oil-contaminated field for a long time and identified as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The bacterium was effectively on the degradation and transformation of anthracene. After 147h, the corresponding concentration of anthracene was reduced from initial 100mg/L to 27.5mg/L, with removal efficiency of anthracene about 72.5%, which indicated strongly ability of degradation of anthracene.
