Abstract

From January to June 2004,an investigation was carried out on the avifauna of Shenzhen Bijiashan Park. The result show that the birds in this area can be classified into 12 orders,31families,58 genus and 81 species among which 47 species are residents,30 species migrants(including 23 winter migrants and 7 summer migrants),4 species passage migrants, and 6 on the national protection list.41 species are distributed in Oriental,20 in Palaercitic,1(which is introduced species) in Ethiopian, and 19 species are widespread in Oriental and Palaercitic.Among 54 locally-bred species,37 species are distributed in Oriental, which holds a dominant position, and is identical with the Min-Guang coastal subregion property. This paper also analyzes species and quantities of bird ecology groups in different environment and vegetation in Bijiashan Park, evaluates the bird resources and offers suggestions for bird reserve.
