Abstract
Objective To discuss the CT appearances of retroperitoneal liposarcoma. Methods The CT findings of 2 cases with retroperitoneal liposarcoma proved by operation and pathology were analyzed retrospectively.2 cases were examined by CT plain scanning and contrast enhancement scanning. Results All tumors were located in the retroperitoneal space.2 cases had huge masses with fatty density. On CT contrast enhancement scanning, the fat was not enhanced, the soft tissue component was slightly enhanced. Conclusion CT can clearly reveal the position and shape of the focus,,fatty density and relations with organs around. It plays an important role in the diagnosis of retroperitoneal liposarcomas, also in the determination of the extent of invasion
