To Promote Listening Ability with the Application of Theme-Rheme Theory

Abstract

Theme-rheme theory is an important theory in text analysis.Theme is the starting of discourse,which conveys the known information,while rheme develops around the theme,which conveys new information.We can improve our listening ability by means of knowing the clue of sound information through theme and knowing the contents through rheme.
