Abstract

The three-dimensional water network complex,[Ni(phen)2(CO3)]·7H2O(1,phen=1,10-phenanthroline),were synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis. The structure was characterized by IR and elemental analysis.X-ray diffraction analysis showed that 1 belongs to monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a=0.989 97(8) nm,b=2.637 60(2) nm,c=1.058 43(9) nm,β=105.917(2)°,V=2.657 8(4) nm3,Dc=1.513 g·cm-3,F(000)=1 004,Z=4,μ=0.795 mm-1,R1=0.050 1,wR2=0.110 4.In the crystal structure of 1,coordinated carboxyl and solvent water molecules are linked by intermolecular weak O-H┈O and C-H┈O hydrogen bonds lead to 3D network supramolecular complex. The electrochemical property of 1 in water was investigated by cyclic voltammetry. The results showed that 1 exhibited two redox waves at 0.31 V and-0.40.
