Abstract

Objective To discuss therapeutic efficacy of phacotrabeculectomy and intraocular lens(IOL)implantation in treatment of patients with glaucoma and cataract. Methods Two hundred eyes with glaucoma and cataract were treated by phacotrabeculectomy and IOL implantation.Post-operation visual acuity, intraocular pressure(IOP),anti-glaucoma drugs and complications were analyzed. Results After operation for 6 weeks, the proportion of correct vision≥0.8 was 88.5%.The intraocular pressure significantly decreased at day 1,week 1,week 6 and month 6 after operation. The anti-glaucoma drugs reduced after operation.Early post-operation complications were mainly cornea edema and hyphema. Conclusion The results indicate that phacotrabeculectomy can correct early vision of patients with glaucoma and cataract, control pressure and prevent further damage of optic nerve.
