Ideology theory and contemporary China's ideology theoretical research

The publication of The German Ideology opened new road for research of the ideological theory. The western scholars have carried on the discussions on the characteristic and historical destiny of ideology from many aspects, which provides aid for the research of the contemporary China's ideology theory. And social changes in the second half of the 20th century impel the emergency of ideology theory. Since 1980, ideology theory gets more abundant development in Chinese academia, which bears theoretical significance to criticize varied false consciousness effectively, and to build socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.
