Abstract
The approximate model of projectile penetrating into the reinforced concrete was established with consideration of direct interaction of projectile with steel bar.Using this model, time history of acceleration was obtained.Calculations are in agreement with experimental data. The model was used to analyze the effect of steel bar size, steel bar mesh size and steel bar configuration on penetration depth and penetration process. The results indicate that steel bar mesh size and steel bar size have an important influence on penetration depth. For reinforced concrete, the side with high reinforcement ratio has higher anti-penetration ability.
