Abstract

Chinese readers differ from foreign readers in cognitive environment due to great disparities between Chinese and English.A good international publicity translation should comply with the principle of relevance.Guided by the theory of relevance,the paper studied the translation variation in English scripts of the report on the government work in 2010.
