It is discussed that pathogenesis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is deficiency in origin and in superfuciality,deficiency of vital Qi is internal cause and exopathogen invading lung is external cause,phlegm and blood stasis in the lung is the key.Supporting vital Qi to eliminate pathogenic factors is basic method of treatment.The key of deficiency in origin is strengthening the body resistance,and treatment is giving consideration to both the incidental and fundamental,strengthening the spleen and tonifying the lung.And pathogenic factors,resolving phlegm and remove stasis and is the key to remove pathogens.
