Effect of Yixiao Decoction on the CRP of 30 Elderly Type 2 Diabetic Patients with Blood Stasis of Qi and Yin Deficiency

Objective:To observe the CRP changes of the elderly Type 2 diabetic patients(blood stasis of qi and yin deficiency) before and after treatment with Yixiao Decoction,and to explore the effect of the decoction on the CRP of the patients.Methods: 60 elderly Type 2 diabetic patients with elevated CRP were randomly divided into one treatment group and one control group,30 patients per group.The patients of the two groups were given diabetes knowledge,diet control,exercise therapy,conventional treatment and insulin hypoglycemic therapy,but the treatment group was added with Yixiao Decoction,a course of 14 days.Results: Compared with the pre-treatment,the serum CRP levels of the two groups decreased after the treatment,(P0.01).The comparison of the two groups showed significant difference(P0.01).Conclusion: Yixiao Decoction can lower the elevated CRP of the elderly Type 2 diabetic patients(blood stasis of qi and yin deficiency) and inhibit the inflammatory response and is worthy of further study.
