Survey of Language Learning Strategies Use among Non-English Major Students

The present study conducts a survey of the frequency of English learning strategies used among non-English major students via questionnaires and follow-up interview.Research statistics reveals that the frequency that students apply different strategies in their language learning process is moderate.Relatively speaking,students show a relatively high frequency in using memory strategies,cognitive strategies and compensation strategies while showing fewer tendencies in using meta-cognitive strategies,affective strategies and social strategies in their learning process.
