Discussion about the general rule of metastasis on lymph nodes in cardia carcinoma

Objective: To explore the general rule of metastasis on lymph nodes of gastric cardia carcinoma.Methods: The clinical pathological data of 33 cases who underwent gastric carcinoma resection were analyzed retrospectively.To explore the general rule of metastasis on lymph nodes in cardia carcinoma.Results: 482 lymph nodes were dissected and in which there were 127 lymph nodes metastasis.Of the 33cases,there was no positive lymph node in 11 cases.Only one positive lymph node in every case of the 9 cases was found;one metastasis to paraesophagus;one to left gastric artery;one to paracadiac;one to greater curvature;the other 4 cases to lesser curvature.There were 2-20 positive lymph nodes in every case in the other 14;in the 12 cases,the positive lymph nodes were found only in greater,lesser curvature,left gastric artery,paracadiac and paraesophagus.Conclusion: Lymph node were mainly metastased to abdomen-mainly in greater and lesser curvature,left gastric artery and paracadiac.
