Confucius established the Confucian personality education theory and this personality education has exerted profound influence on the orientation of the Chinese culture as well as the world culture. In the cultivation of people with lofty ideals, moral integrity, education and high quality, it is essential to explore the background of personality education, the standards and characteristics of ideal personality, its historical influence and modern value. Thus we should discriminatingly absorb the essence of Confucian personality education with a view to developing people in an all - round way.
