Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of puerarin on the expression of Caspase-3 and its possible mechanisms. Methods A rat model of partial hepatic ischemia-reperfusion was found. We examined the contents of malondialdehyde (MDA). The Caspase-3 expression was measured with immunohistochemical method. Results The contents of MDA increased obviously. The expression of Caspase-3 increased significantly. When treated with puerarin, the contents of MDA were much lower and the expression of Caspase-3 decreased significantly. Conclusions Puerarin can protect liver from the ischemia reperfusion injury by antioxidation and inhibiting Caspase-3 expression, alleviating the apoptosis of hepatocytes.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
