Abstract

Objective:To investigative the expression and clinical significance of multidrug resistance-associated protein(MRP),P-glycoprotein(P-gp).Methods:MRP,P-gp expression in 90 cases of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) were examined by using immunohistochemical staining. Results:cancer in 90 patients the positive rate of MRP was 64%(32/50),60%(24/40),in adenocarcinoma, squamous respectively. The positive rate of P-gp was 68%(34/50),55(22/40),in adenocarcinoma, squamous respectively. The expression of MRP,P-gp was no difference between adenocarcinoma and squamous.Positive immunistaining of either of two protein was not correcated with tumor size, node status,TNM stage, expect that MRP expression was correcated with the degree of cell differentiation in adencarcinoma. The relapse rate with MRP,P-gp positive cases was higher than that with MRP negative by two years follow-up of these patients. Conclusion:Our finding indicate that MRP,P-gp may be related to multidrug resistance in NSCLC.The overexpression of MRP was more significant than P-gp in NSCLC to estimate the efficacy and chemotherapy.
