Therapeutic Effect of Amiodarone Compared Wit h Propafenone on Ventricular Arrhythmias in Coronary Heart Diseases

To investigate the effect and safety of amiodarone (Cordarone) and propafenone ventricular arrhythmias(VAs) in patients with coronary heart diseases(CHD),69 patients of CHD with VA accepted the standad therapy of CHD. Among them,35 patients were tre ated with amiodarone(amiodarone group) and 34 patients were treated with propafenone (prop afenone group). Results:In both groups, the occurrence of ventricular arrhythmias were reduced markedly.Premature ventricular beats and parsymal ventricular tachycardia s before and after treatment in amiodarone group were 6 834±4 528 beats/24 h an d 2 705±1 477 beats/24 h,8.05±3.37 times/24 h and 4.22±2.59 times/24 h,respe ctively.And in propafenone group wer 6 712±3 385 beats/24 h vs 3 926±1 983 bea ts/24 h and 8.05±3.37 times/24 h vs 4.22±2.59 times/24 h,respectively. A ll P0.01.There was a better effect amiodarone group than propafenone group( P0.01). No heart function deterioration occurred in both group. Conclusion:There is obvious therapeutic ef ficacy of amiodarone on CHD with VAs and better than propafenone.
