THE INVESTIGATION OF 221 COLLEGE STUDENTS' PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS AND MENTAL HEALTH STATUS

Abstract

Objective:To discuss college students' personality characteristics and mental health status.Methods:With eysenck Personal Questionnaire(EPQ)and Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90),230 college students were investigated.Results:1.The E,L score of EPQ in college students were statistical different compared with the norm(P0.05～0.001).2.All factor score of SCL-90 in college students were higher than those of youth norm in China(P0.05～0.001).3.Neuroticism,month family earning,acquiring scholarship or not and dissimulation were the main variables which influenced the mental health of college students.Conclusion:1.Students' mental health education should be reinforced.2.Personality characteristics and economical factor had great influence on the mental health of college students.
