Abstract

Objective To study the value of 18F-FDGhPET/CT imaging for diagnosis, staging, limiting the tumor target region and determining treatment principle in non-small cell lung cancer. Methods Fifty-three patients with non-small cell lung cancer were examined by 18F-FDGhPET/CT imaging before the treatment to study and compare 18F-FDG staging and CT staging. Results 18F-FDGhPET/CT imaging detected 39 lymph nodes and 22 distant metastases more than CT imaging did.Clinical staging of 28 patients was changed by 18F-FDGhPET/CT,including upgrade of staging in 20 cases and degradation of staging in 8 cases. Conclusion 18F-FDGhPET/CT imaging is useful for diagnosis, staging, radiotherapy treatment plan and guiding general therapy principle of NSCLC.
