Role of CT in Staging and Diagnosis of Lung Cancer

Abstract

Objective To investigate the practice value of CT in the preoperative staging and diagnosis of lung cancer. Methods CT findings in 20 cases with surgically or puncture pathologically proved lung cancer were analyzed. Results Agreement in staging of preoperative CT and pathology was found in 90% (18/20) , though the staging with CT was a little bit higher than that with pathology. Conclusion It should be important clinical significance to provide doctors with diagnostic strategy and technique selection for lung cancer since CT staging is well compatible with pathological staging.
