Abstract
Paronym is a common phenomenon in the development of the Chinese vocabulary. It is influenced by the regularity of cognitional and linguistic development. In the study of paronym, one should distinguish paronym from synonym and homophone, lay stress on the instances and pay attention to the combination of linguistics with other subjects.
