On Homophone-synonym and Metathesis-synonym of Modern Chinese

Abstract

This paper proves that there are a lot of homophone-synonyms and metathesis-synonyms in existence which are exactly the characteristics of Modern Chinese. It also expounds that the two kinds of synonyms are produced by the fundamental characters of Chinese and Chinese characters. Besides these, the paper concentratively goes into the cause of formation, the character, the circumscription and the discrimination of theirs, and simply discusses the demarcation of the general synonyms.
