Abstract
After the decline of Confucianism in late Han Dynasty,pursuing liberation of personification and attaching importance to personal feeling gradually came to be a social fashion. Scholars in late Han Dynasty, in the presence ofThe Nineteen Ancient Poems,developed the style of emphasizing personal feeling and regarded chanting in a heroic but mournful tone as a kind of beauty. They absorbed the spirit of The Books of Songs and Li Sao, expressed the emotion of the scholars and made the long-lost poetic spirit blossom in radiant splendour. As a result, they greatly influenced poetic creation and characteristics after Wei, Jin. From the angle of the three principal emotional characteristics of the poems about expecting women, travelling scholars and bachelors, the article discusses the characteristics and state of these emotion-expressing poems.
