Abstract
The relationship between the coal mining face support and surrounding rock support is the evidences for the roof control.According to the maintenance as the main principle for the complex roof,the movement features and law of the roof separation,falling and caving under different support methods with the rock broken analysis system RFPA2D and the numerical calculation.A rational roof control method was set up and the roof maintenance with steel mesh can keep the roof in a good completeness,which could reach the expected support results.
