Abstract
Objective To investigate the treatment efficacy of ozone combined with injection of collagenase in extreme lateral lumbar disc herniation. Methods With the C-arm monitoring,30 cases of extreme lateral lumbar disc herniation received ozone combined with ipsilateral foraminal collagenase injection. Results The postoperative telephone follow-up for 6~12 months,20 cases were excellent in the modified Macnab criteria,6 cases were good,3 cases were so-so and 1 case was poor. The improved rate was 87%,efficiency 96.6%. Conclusion Ipsilateral foraminal injection of ozone and collagenase under X-ray monitoring to treat a very prominent lateral disc can effectively lift the nucleus pulposus on nerve root compression with accurate location.
